This two-day trip to Jinja takes you for white water rafting in Jinja the adventure capital of Uganda. Tour the different sights and sounds of Jinja, including the Source of the Nile and a brief Jinja town tour. You will have several stopovers along the journey to Jinja including brief visits to Sezibwa Falls, Mabira Forest etc. After, the rafting, you can go bungee jumping or try horse riding or quad biking in Jinja. Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala – Jinja
Jinja is Uganda’s second biggest town after Kampala. It is where we find the source of the mighty Nile River, Bujagali falls and many industries. Jinja is located on the Northern shore of Lake Victoria above Ripon falls near Owen falls dam. Transfer from Kampala and head east along Jinja – Kampala road. Stop briefly at Mabira forest; check out different primates such as grey checked mangabey and red- tailed monkey. There are also butterfly and bird species most notably birds. Such as Nahan’s francolin, localized forest wood-hoopoe and African pitta. Mabira is unique ornithological site in Uganda. Continue to Jinja. Check out the source of the Nile. Day 2: Water Rafting/ Quad Biking/Bungee Jumping/Horse Riding
After enjoying breakfast, set off for water rafting on the most popular falls in Uganda, the Bujagali falls. These rapids go about 10km down river of the source of the Nile which has turned it to be one of the best spots for water rafting and kayaking. You may go bungee jumping and get to know what it means to let out your heart or horse riding or quad biking. Jinja is so much full of adventure that one cannot be bored in any way. Feel the adventure all the way. In the afternoon after taking lunch, you may return to Kampala which marks the end of this adventurous expedition.
