Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your Hotel
Upon arrival you will be picked from the airport and then transfer to your Hotel for rest. Overnight at Boma Hotel Entebbe
Day 2: Transfer to Kibaale Forest national park and Bigodi Wetland walk
Early Morning, after breakfast, you will transfer for your flight to Kasese from 07:45am arriving by 10:05. You will go then be driven from Kasese to Kibaale for Lunch and later in the afternoon go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetlands where you will view a number of Birds as well as other primates like colobus monkeys. You will then transfer to Primates Lodge for Lunch. You will return to the lodge for dinner and Overnight at Primates Lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibaale Forest
Wake up for an early morning breakfast to get ready for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park. You need to get to the park headquarters by 8.00 am local time for briefing on the day’s activity by the senior park ranger guide. At 8.30 am you will be transferred to starting point from where the search for chimpanzees begins. There are 95% chances of seeing the chimpanzees in this forest. By midday you are expected to be back for lunch and later go a rest in your room as you prepare for dinner and Overnight at Primates Lodge.
Day 4:Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP and community walk
After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park; one of the most diversified national parks on the continent. Take a tour to the Katwe-Kabatooro community, explore how the locals engage in salt mining to boost their incomes at L. Katwe. You may also pass by L. Munyanyange a popular breeding site for the lesser flamingos. Proceed to your lodge for lunch and later take an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 5:Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, undertake a morning game drive to the Kasenyi area expecting to view early morning predators such as leopards, and lions, different antelope species, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, warthogs, waterbucks, etc. For birders, Queen Elizabeth national park is a birders’ paradise with over 606 species including a variety of migratory and Albertine Rift Endemics. In the afternoon, at 14:00 hrs you will walk down to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel between lakes Edward and George. This is the best place to see a cross section of all the wildlife in this park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi National park.
In the morning, you will set off to Bwindi National park passing via Ishasha sector where you will view the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue and have picnic lunch en route, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 7: Gorilla Tracking & Community Visit- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
This morning you will have to wake up very early to get ready for Gorilla tracking. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are always park guides with you who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 8: Batwa community Visit in Buhoma
After Breakfast, You will go for a Batwa Experience spending a day with the Batwa people – the keepers of the forest. Learn as they guide you through the forest, dance, sing and storytelling of their traditional ways of farming, handling the bow, gather honey, and picking herbal medicine from roots and leaves a local way of treating the local people. The experience shows you how they lived grass thatched houses, caves, hunted small animals which were used for food. The trail begins with a nature walk, hike through the forest as you learn from the first keepers of the forest this takes a full day or 5 hours your simple presence will give a great honor to the Batwa people. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 9: Depart Bwindi for Entebbe
After breakfast you will depart Sanctuary Gorilla Forest camp and transfer of your flight to Entebbe from Kihihi at 09:45am arriving at 11:25am for a transfer to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Protea Hotel
Day 10: City Tour
After breakfast, you will go for a city tour around Kampala visiting major sites in the city. Lunch with in Kampala and later transfer to Protea Hotel for Dinner and Overnight.
