Nkuringo Gorilla lodge is a mid-range to luxury lodge located on Nteko ridge on the edge of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in Nkuringo sector. Founded in 2007 as a campsite, the lodge has undergone transformation into a carbon neutral lodge having won multiple awards as a leading safari lodge in Uganda at the World Travel Awards. Nteko ridge is at a high elevation of 2,161 meters (7,000 ft) above sea level and the lodge offers spectacular views of Bwindi, Virunga Mountains and Kashasha river valley below. The average temperatures in Nkuringo are 15°C and 25°C (59°F to 77°F) during the day and 7°C to 11°C (44°F to 52°F) at night. This cold weather limits mosquitoes, making for one of the mosquito free lodges.

The total number of rooms at Nkuringo Bwindi Lodge is 19 with a capacity to host up to 40 guests. Rooms are categorized as deluxe garden cottages (45 square meters), forest suites (90 square meters), standard garden cottages measuring 38 square meters, and villas or 2-in-1 cottages. The 2-in one cottages have interconnecting doors and each room hosts up to 3 people making for a suitable place for families and small groups. The garden cottages and the forest suites contain oversize beds and offer a 24-hour private butler service and in-room dining. All other rooms contain fireplaces except for standard rooms. Modern room amenities at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge ensure that guests stay comfortably and enjoy gorilla trekking and these include en-suite bathrooms, private veranda, complimentary drinking water, tea and coffee. Among other basic amenities include safe boxes, hairdryer (provided on request), hot water bottle in the bed for warmth, shampoo and hair conditioner, daily housekeeping service, and extra bed and baby cots are provided for families. Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge is located on Nteko ridge in Nkuringo sector in the southern part of Bwindi impenetrable national park. The lodge is 550 km (9-hour drive) southwest of Kampala capital city and Entebbe international airport, 170 km (5-hour drive) northwest of Kigali capital city Rwanda, and 35 km (1-hour drive) from Kisoro municipality. The dirt road from Kisori requires 4×4 vehicles. The lodge can be reached by charter flights from either Kigali or Entebbevia Kisoro airstrip. Private charter flights can be arranged conveniently from any destination within East Africa.
