The afternoon nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary will reward you with primates encounters including different monkey species and various bird species including the fabulous blue turacco among others. Kibale forest national park has a number of tourist lodge facilities including Kibale Primates Lodge, Chimpanzee guest house and Kyaninga lodge among others.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
This day choose to engage in chimpanzee habituation exercise or simply go tracking. The former entails tracking chimpanzees a full day as you get involved in all chimp activities and behaviours. If you prefer simply chimpanzee trekking, you will be able to spend about 4 hours in the forest and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for an overnight stay in some of the most comfortable lodges at the periphery or inside the national park. Some of the lodges in Queen Elizabeth national park include Enganzi and kyambura Gorge lodges at the rim of the rift
Day 4: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
This morning we shall follow kasenyi trail in search for lions, different antelope species and herds of buffaloes among others. In the afternoon a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel between lakes George and Edward will reward you with a plethora of birds and different mammal species. The concentration of wildlife along this channel is overwhelming. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Queen Elizabeth National Park- Bwindi NP
We have a morning road trip through the Ishasha sector in search for tree climbing lions. Thence proceed to Bwindi national through the picturesque and breathtaking scenery. The drive is reminiscent to one’s experience driving through central Europe–indeed this region of Uganda is often referred to as “Little Switzerland.” Overnight stay at Gorilla Forest Camp, Bakiga lodge, or Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 6 Gorilla Tracking
Early morning enter the gorilla sanctuary for your gorilla trek. Bwindi, a World Heritage Park, is home to just over half of the world’s last surviving mountain gorilla population of 880 individuals. Today’s trek can take from one to six hours, sometimes more, at elevations in excess of 2270 m (7,500 ft) and over rough terrain. The area around Buhoma is an excellent place for watching primates and birds and you may catch a glimpse of the noisy but evasive Chimpanzees or the beautiful Horn bills and Turacos. The forest is home to 120 species of mammals, 346 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies, and 163 species of trees, making it one of the richest ecosystems in Africa. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for at least an hour before returning to your lodge. Overnight stay at Gorilla Forest Camp, Silverback lodge, or Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 7 Bwindi, Uganda – Kampala
