Parkview Safari Lodge is a safari accommodation facility located on the outskirts of Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. The lodge operates as a mid-range safari lodge although some accommodation and facilities are presented at a higher standard. Its design combines local and modern materials, with cottages positioned to provide views across the park and surrounding hills.
Parkview Safari Lodge is located around the Kyambura area outside the main protected-area boundary. The lodge overlooks parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Bunyaruguru hills. On clear days, guests can also see the Rwenzori Mountains. The location provides access to the Kasenyi Plains, Kazinga Channel and Kyambura Gorge.

Game drives

Kazinga Channel cruise
Guests can arrange a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. The cruise normally takes place in the afternoon although other departure times may be available. The boat moves along the channel while visitors watch hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and water birds along the shoreline.
Chimpanzee tracking
Chimpanzee tracking can be arranged in Kyambura Gorge or nearby Kalinzu Forest. At Kyambura, visitors walk into the gorge with trained guides and trackers. The activity involves searching for chimpanzees and observing other forest species along the way.
Ishasha game drives
The lodge can arrange trips to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is known for its tree-climbing lions. Visitors drive along the sector’s tracks while searching for lions resting in fig trees and other wildlife. The journey to Ishasha takes time so it is better suited to travellers with an extra day.
Mongoose tracking
Mongoose tracking can be arranged in areas where the activity is available. Visitors follow researchers or trained guides as they search for banded mongooses. The activity focuses on observing their behaviour and social structure.
Nature walks
Nature walks provide a slower way to explore the area’s vegetation. A guide leads visitors along suitable trails and explains plants, birds, insects and other features.

How to access Parkview Safari lodge
Parkview Safari Lodge can be reached by road from Kampala or Entebbe. The journey normally passes through Mbarara and continues towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes about 6–7 hours depending on traffic and stops. The lodge can also be reached from Kasese or nearby airstrips by road transfer.
