Discounted Uganda Permits

Uganda Wildlife Authority has discounted gorilla permits to trek gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks along with other entrance fees to savannah parks all over the country. The promotional pricing in Uganda is meant to revive and strengthen the tourism industry, which has harshly hit by the deadly coronavirus. Tourism in Uganda was closed for close to 7 months since March 2010 to August 2020 in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus to endangered wildlife. With effect from December to March 2021, Uganda gorilla permits will cost $400 for foreign non residents, $300 for foreign residents and UGX 100,000 for Ugandans and East African citizens. This is a huge drop from the initial $700 for foreign non-residents, $600 for foreign residents and UGX 250,000 for Uganda’s and East African citizens. Travelers are called upon to grab the chance and use this opportunity especially to trek the endangered mountain gorillas at a very low cost. Mountain gorilla trekking is the best wildlife experience yet one the luxury wildlife practice in the world. More so, travelers to Mount Elgon National park and Toro Semliki Valley national park will be allowed free entrance if they have bought gorilla permits.

The discounted offer further applies to those who want to trek the endangered chimpanzees in Kibale forest National Park. Chimpanzee permit costs have been reduced from $200 to $150 for foreign non residents and from $150 to $100 for foreign residents in Uganda.
