6 day uganda gorilla tour

Day 1: Arrival into Entebbe 1350hrs and transfer to Kampala.
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, our company guide will welcome you and transfer you to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for behind the scenes experience. Later transfer to Kampala for Dinner and overnight stay at Sheraton hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls NP.
After breakfast transfer northwards to Murchison Falls national park En route tracking rhinos in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. After lunch in Masindi Town drive up to the top of Murchison falls – a magnificent spot where the Nile water compresses into a narrow gorge of over 1 km wide down through a 7- meter canyon forming a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in a plume of spray – the wonders of the Nile River! Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge

Day 3: Game drive and the Nile boat cruise
After an early breakfast, tour the Northern part with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, water bucks, hippos, giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, if you are lucky the leopards, plus a variety of bird species. After lunch, go for a two-hour cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls from where appalling water escapes through the narrow gorge forming a great thunderous uproar. Along the falls water birds and mammals are in great numbers. Return to Paraa Safari lodge for your dinner and a overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park
After breakfast, transfer through Murchison Falls NP heading Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley while enjoying the sights of traditional homesteads and farms in this verdant country side. You take packed lunch or simply have an early lunch Hoima. The Murchison – Kibale drive is approximately 7 to 9 hours depending on the weather conditions. Stay an overnight at Kyaninga Lodge

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking – Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up for an early morning breakfast to get ready for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park. You need to get to the park headquarters by 8.00 am local time for briefing on the day’s activity by the senior park ranger guide. At 8.30 am you will be transferred to starting point from where the search for chimpanzees begins. There are 95% chances of seeing the chimpanzees in this forest. By midday you are expected to be back for lunch and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park for an evening game drive. Dinner & overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 6: Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, undertake a morning game drive to the Kasenyi area expecting to view early morning predators such as leopards, and lions, different antelope species, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, warthogs, waterbucks, etc. For birders, Queen Elizabeth national park is a birders’ paradise with over 606 species including a variety of migratory and Albertine Rift Endemics. In the afternoon, at 14:00 hrs you will walk down to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise along the kazinga channel between lakes Edward and George. This is the best place to see a cross section of all the wildlife in this park. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 7: Ishasha Sector tree-climbing lions and Transfer to Bwindi NP.
After an early breakfast transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest NP through the Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP for viewing tree-climbing lions which are only here in the whole country. Savannah Hotel is ideal for lunch after a game drive in Ishasha. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening. Overnight stay at Bwindi Lodge

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi.
After an early morning breakfast walk to the park headquarters for briefing and later follow the gorilla trail. It normally takes between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. If time and energy allow, you may take a community tour to the local community after tracking Overnight stay at Bwindi Lodge

Day 9: Transfer to Mburo NP
After Breakfast you will transfer to Lake Mburo national park, arriving early enough for lunch before going for a boat cruise where you will be rewarded with views of crocodiles, hippos and a variety of bird species. The park is an extension of Tanzania Plains with big herds of antelope species, zebras, buffaloes, klipspringers, and other ungulates and a variety of birds. It is the only park in the country with an Impala and the only one in the lower region of the country with a zebra. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge

Day 10: Transfer to Kampala & Drop off at the Airport
After breakfast, you will set off the park with En route game drive following any of the park’s tracks. You will then return to Kampala with En route lunch arriving in the late afternoon. Your guide may take you around first for your last minute shopping before transferring you to Entebbe airport for your departure flight to Zanzibar.

Day 11: Pick up from Zanzibar Airport.
Transfer to Stone Town. Stay Kisiwa House – Burdani Room (Bed&Breakfast)

Day 12: Guided Stone Town tour.
Guided spice plantation tour. Stay Kisiwa House – Burdani Room (B&B)

Day 13: Transfer from Stone Town to Nungwi.
Stay at The Z Hotel Sea View Room (B&B)

Day 14-16: Full day in Nungwi.
Sign up for snorkeling/diving excursions directly (excluded). Stay at The Z Hotel Sea View Room (B&B)

Day 17:Transfer back to Zanzibar Airport.
Optional activities or excursions, Zanzibar infrastructure tax (US$1 per person per night, payable directly), Zanzibar airport taxes where applicable
