Day 01: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is in a distance of 240 Km (6 hours drive) from Kampala. With an area of 370 Sq. Km Lake Mburo is the smallest national park in Uganda. The park is home to angulates including buffaloes, impala, zebra, elands, and giraffes. Some of the bird species include Narina Trogon, the elusive African Finfoot, Ross’ Turaco, African Fish Eagle, herons and the Shoebill, among others.
On your first day, transfer via the Uganda Equator which is 2 hours drive from Kampala and arrive in Lake Mburo for lunch and an afternoon scheduled boat cruise. Boat cruises on Lake Mburo depart every after 2 hours and the entire boat experience lasts for 2 hours. Day 02: Transfer to Bwindi Forest national park
Begin with a morning nature walk to the salt-lick point. Here a number of animals converge to enjoy the tasty salt. Return to the lodge for breakfast and later on transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You can enjoy an early lunch in Mbarara and proceed to Bwindi either in the southern or northern sectors depending on gorilla permits availability. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Gorilla Forest

This day is dedicated to gorilla trekking into the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is divided into 3 sectors; the Ruhija, Buhoma and Nkuringo. Depending on availability of the permits, you will track gorillas in any of these sectors. Early in the morning, you will report to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the senior park ranger guide. Proceed thence to track the gorillas in this mist covered, dense forest which is one of the oldest tropical forests to have survived through the last ice age. Once you get sight of gorillas, you allowed to spend an hour with them observing their foraging, playing antics by the babies, and the behavior of the silverback protecting the family. Day 4: Return to Kampala
Take your morning breakfast and depart to Kampala with an en route lunch in Mbarara.

GORILLA SAFARI IN UGANDA
