6 day uganda gorilla tour

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your Hotel- Uganda
Our company guide will pick you up from your place of your residence and transfer to the hotel. Meals and overnight at 2 Friends Hotel; Bed and Breakfast

Day 2: Transfer to Kibaale and Bigodi Wetland walk
After breakfast, you will depart Kampala for Kibale Forest National park passing via the Nakayima tree in Mubende and arriving in the afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. You will arrive in the afternoon, and go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetlands where you will view a number of Birds as well as other primates like colobus monkeys. You will then transfer to your lodge. Meals and overnight at Primates Lodge

Day 3: Chimpanzee Habituation experience
Wake up for an early morning breakfast to get ready for chimpanzee trekking for a full day in Kibale forest national park. You need to get to the park headquarters by 7:00 am local time for briefing on the day’s activity by the senior park ranger guide. There are 95% chances of seeing
the chimpanzees in this forest and the chimpanzee habituation experience gives tourists even way great chances of spending time with these primates. You will have your lunch in the forest as you listen to the sights and sounds of nature and later in the evening return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP and Community Visit
After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park; one of the most diversified national parks on the continent. Visit the Katwe Community where you will discover more about the local salt mining techniques. You will later have a game drive as you head to your lodge. Dinner & overnight at Enganzi lodge

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat cruise.
After an early cup of coffee, you will go for morning game drives where you will see game as lion, bush buck, water hogs, elephants, and many more. Go back to the Lodge for a late breakfast and relax at the swimming pool. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for a view of lots of game as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi lodge

Day 6: Ishasha Sector tree-climbing lions and Transfer to Bwindi
After an early breakfast transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest NP through the Ithaca – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP for viewing tree-climbing lions which are only here in the whole country. Savannah Hotel is ideal for lunch after a game drive in Ishasha. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening and directly head to your lodge for meals and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and evening community walk
After an early morning breakfast walk to the park headquarters for briefing and later follow the gorilla trail. You will spend an hour with a Gorilla Family plus the time it takes to and from the location where the Gorilla Group is making it an all-day Trek in the Forest. Usually only 4 Visitors are allowed per day compared to 8 for a normal Gorilla Trek. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. If time and energy allow, you may take am community tour in the neighboring community after habituation to interact with the locals and learn about their lifestyle. Overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Kampala
In the morning after your breakfast, you will set off your journey back tom Kampala with stopovers for photography reaching early in the afternoon for a traditional lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Centre & another stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for amazing photoshoots and water experiments and later transfer to your place of residence or transfer to the airport for departure.
