Day 1, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala and then be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route to the Park, you will stopover for souvenir shopping at the equator and you will get a chance of witnessing the water experiment at this very spot. After the water experiment, you will proceed to Mbarara town for Lunch. You will proceed with your journey after lunch and reach Mweya in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge (Luxury)/Hippo Hills camp or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (mid range)/ Simba safari lodge (Budget)
Day 2, Game drive and afternoon Launch cruise
After your breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in Kasenyi area to search for different wildlife animals missed out in the previous game drive. Later visit the Katwe explosion craters. Here you will spot Kitagata Lake and the enormous Kamengo Crater and this will give you clear view of different wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will be rewarded with wildlife sights of species like the Hippopotamuses, Waterbucks, Crocodiles and a variety of Water Birds like the black bee- eater, several species of falcons and the raptors. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge (Luxury)/Hippo Hills camp or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (mid range)/ Simba safari lodge (Budget)
Day 3: Ishasha – Bwindi Gorilla Tour
After a morning breakfast transfer to Ishasha, the southern sector of QENP for viewing tree-climbing lions. Thence proceed to Bwindi and arrive early enough for your lunch.A total of 350 bird species have been recorded, which is relatively a high figure since the park lacks waterbirds. Of special interest to birders are 23 species endemic to the Albertine Rift, and at least 14 species found nowhere else in Uganda, including the African Green Broadbill, Brown-necked Parrot, Frazer’s eagle owl, white-tailed blue flycatcher and white-bellied robin chat. There are over 200 butterfly species in Bwindi. Butterfly watchers can be able to identify more than 50 varieties in a day.
Day 4, Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the mountain gorilla trackers code of conduct. Later you will penetrate through the impenetrable forest for a more adventurous and exciting lifetime experience of Mountain Gorilla tracking. You are all reminded to go with your packed lunch and bottled water since the tracking duration depends on the ease to see the gorilla that day and where they slept the previous night. Besides the Gorillas, you will also spot other forest wildlife like the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed Colobus, Blue Monkey, L’hoest and baboons and many more. Retire for dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Resort or Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/Lake Kitandara or Buhoma Lodge (Midrange)/Buhoma Community Bandas or wagtail eco safari camp (Budget)
Day 5, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via the commonly known area as the Switzerland of Africa Kabale. The journey will offer you with sights of the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. Upon arrival at Bunyonyi, have lunch and later carry out an afternoon boat ride on the lake which will reward you with sights of different birds on the many small islands on the lake. Dinner and overnight in Arcadia Cottages for Luxury or Bunyonyi Overland Resort for mid range or Bunyonyi overland Camp for budget
Day 6, Transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala with en route stopover in Mbarara town for Lunch.
