6 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour - Gorilla Trekking Safari, Rwanda Tours

Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our tour guide will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel for checking in. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Nest lodge / Kinigi guest house (BB)

DAY 02: tracking the mountain gorillas

In the morning after your breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for tracking the mountain gorillas at 8.30 am local time. The time taken to encounter these awesome primates ranges between an hour and 6 hours. Return to the lodge for your lunch. In the evening undertake a community walk where cultural dances can be performed for you. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Nest lodge / Kinigi guest house (BB)

DAY 03: Visit Dian Fossey Graveyard

After your breakfast, our tour guide will transfer you to Karisoke - Dian Fossey' s Graveyard. In the afternoon return to Kinigi for relaxation. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Nest lodge / Kinigi guest house. (BB)

DAY 04: Depart Nyungwe Forest
Take your breakfast and transfer to Nyungwe Forest national park. On your way visit Nyanza - the King's Palace where some elders will be there to give you interesting information on the culture and history of Rwanda. Proceed to Gisakura for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05: Chimpanzee trekking
Take breakfast and proceed to the Gisakura park headquarters for briefing and onward tracking of the primates. The forest walk in Nyungwe will enable you to spot chimpanzees and troops of Angola colobus monkeys. For birders, the forest is rich in forest bird species. Return to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Lodge

Day 6: Lake Kivu Tour
In the morning take your breakfast and transfer to Lake Kivu, en route paying a visit to Butare National Museum - the biggest in the country. Arrive at Lake Kivu for a boat cruise over the beautiful lake overlooking the recent Nyiragongo volcano. Return to Kigali for your city tour. You may take your flight back to your country or stay for an overnight at Serena Hotel - Kigali
