Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
Arrive at Kigali International Airport where you will be met by our Africa Adventure safari driver / guide who will transfer you to Kigali for lunch and later to Ruhengeri (Volcanoes). Volcanoes is part of the Virunga mountains which has different peaks like Bisoke, Karisimbi, Muhabura, Sabyinyo and is home to endangered mountain gorillas together with Bwindi(Uganda) and Congo. Spend overnight and enjoy meals at Kinigi Guesthouse/ Gorilla’s Nest Hotel (FB).
Day 2: mountain gorilla tracking
Early morning wake up and take breakfast then proceed to the park head quarters for briefing. Go for gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes forest where you will be amazed by the huge size of the silverback, the behavior and communicating skills of these unique creatures among other things. Use this moment to learn and discover all there is about the gorillas. After wards return to Kinigi Guesthouse/ Gorilla Nest House. (FB)
Day 3: mountain gorilla tracking 2.
Early morning wake up and take breakfast then proceed to the park head quarters for briefing. Go for gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes forest where you will be amazed by the huge size of the silverback, the behavior and communicating skills of these unique creatures among other things. Use this moment to learn and discover what you might have missed out the previous day. After wards return to Kinigi Guesthouse/ Gorilla Nest House. (FB)
Day 4: Dian Fossey’s grave/ golden monkey tracking.
Visit the golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi, visit Ross Carr’s orphanage and Lake Kivu, climb the Bisoke/Muhabura volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey’s grave, or visit the local school and community projects or walk to Lake Bulera. Spend overnight at Kinigi Guesthouse/ Gorilla’s Nest Hotel (FB)
day 5: return to Uganda.
After morning breakfast drive to Kigali and if time permits do a brief city tour and then return to Uganda in Bwindi national Park. Stay overnight in Buhoma Community Bandas/ Gorilla Resort Hotel.
Day 6: gorilla tracking in Bwindi.
Early morning after breakfast go gorilla tracking and enjoy the sight of the huge silverback besides pother amazing stuff to discover about the mountain gorillas. In the afternoon go on a nature guided walk along Munyanja river trail or visit the local community. Spend overnight in Buhoma Community Bandas/ Gorilla Nest Hotel.
Day 7: back to Kampala.
Have breakfast and transfer early morning to the Kampala which marks the end of the tour.
