Ngamba Islands - 1 Day Visit
Day 1: Ngamba islands
By 0800 hrs be at UWEC (Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre)/ Entebbe Zoo. The Island guide will meet you to brief you about the Island. You will be transferred from land by a motor speedboat to the island for about 45 minutes. You will ride across the shores of Lake Victoria the second largest fresh water in the world. Ngamba island, a 50ha is part of the Kome archipelago, a group of 15 islands. Welcome to Ngamba Island, home to 39-orphaned chimpanzees! After arriving, you begin off with one fascinating activity. It is feeding time! Watch the chimps interact with each other and feed. You will notice we as humans have so much in common with these lovely creatures like the way they grab food, eat and chew it, clap among other behaviors. In the evening, you will return to the land at Entebbe, Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. If time allows check out the animals in the zoo and return to Kampala.
